At the Conservatory Open House, you’ll find everything you need to know about the Mount Royal Conservatory’s programs and performing ensembles, and how to register yourself or your children.
Music is fundamental to human development
We invite you to listen as renowned researchers, instructors and speakers address topics including when it’s appropriate to begin music and speech programs, different arts education philosophies, how to choose between them, early childhood music cognition and development, and more…
We offer Calgary’s greatest variety of quality music lessons within a single institution
The Conservatory offers the most diversified music and speech arts programs in the city, taught by professional teachers and musicians, and supported by the oldest music institute in the province. Consider what learning a musical instrument or developing your speaking ability could mean for yourself or your family.
After participating in Music with your Baby or our other Early Childhood classes, there are so many paths to choose from: choirs, speech arts, instruments, composing, jazz… and we teach them all.
… and not just private lessons, either!
We host a variety of performance ensembles: choirs, orchestras, vocal jazz, brass, woodwind, and other groups. In these ensembles, students take what they have learned in private or group lessons and apply it in a fun, interactive ensemble setting.
Our performance-based approach allows students to develop their skills.
Most of our programs are performance-based, which we believe allows our students to hone and demonstrate their skills and talents, to progress at a faster pace, and to share their love of music.
Most importantly, our instructors are highly qualified to teach both music technique and life-long love of learning.
We welcome you to interact with our faculty, ask questions, and learn first-hand why Mount Royal may be the right choice for yourself or you family.
