The Bissett School of Business Alumni Chapter

The Bissett School of Business Alumni Chapter started in August of 2010. Moving forward into 2013, the Chapter is focusing in three areas:

  • Providing connections between alumni, students, and business professionals
  • Increasing the visibility of the Bissett School of Business programs in the business sector
  • Fostering the growth and engagement of the Chapter.

Mission

  • To provide opportunities for Bissett School of Business alumni to network and form partnerships with others in the Mount Royal Bissett School of Business community.
  • To promote opportunities available to Bissett School of Business alumni for academic and professional development at Mount Royal University.
  • To increase awareness and profile of the Bissett School of Business programs to the business community, professional associations and future students.
  • To provide feedback to Bissett School of Business to assist in program development
  • To provide mentorship and support to current Bissett School of Business students
  • To promote the interests and welfare of the Chapter and the Mount Royal University Alumni Association (MRUAA)

Get involved

We are looking for new members. If you are one of the many alumni from one of the Mount Royal University Bissett School programs and would like to get involved, please contact James Parsons at jjparsons@mtroyal.ca or 403.440.7047. The  membership is open to alumni who attended programs at Mount Royal University Bissett School of Business, as well as retired faculty.
The Bissett School of Business Alumni Chapter is divided into Interest Groups based on the various programs offered by the faculty:

  • Accounting
  • Aviation
  • Innovation and Entrepreneurship
  • Financial Services
  • General Business
  • Human Resources
  • Insurance and Risk Management
  • International Business
  • Logistics and Supply Chain
  • Marketing
  • Nonprofit Studies

These groups will focus on particular programs such as Nonprift Studies or Aviation, and can provide alumni with the opportunity to directly connect with others sharing their interests. Note your area of interest on your application form, and we'll be sure to connect you with like-minded alumni.
