Carla has received various trophies, gold and silver medals, scholarships in music festivals and competitions, and was awarded Mount Royal College Conservatory of Music's Gold Medal for singing.

In her early years in London, Carla Bagley did ballet, tap, acrobatics, drama, and speech. She sang in a duo and composed at a young age and continues to do so. She has given recitals in voice and performed in opera, operettas, and musical theatre.

In Calgary, Carla was coached by the late Polyna Savridi at the University of Calgary, and together they performed in concert. Carla has directed and produced productions from children's music to pop to musical theatre, right through to Classical and opera. She introduced and performed new vocal works and presently directs and produces opera scenes, broadway shows, operettas, children's Gilbert and Sullivan, and special children's shows. She also performs operatic arias and duets in concert and does recital work.
