As a student of speech, Ches began his affiliation with the Conservatory in the 1960s under the tutelage of the late Dr. Leona Paterson. A gold medal recipient in Speech Arts from the Royal Conservatory of Music Toronto, Ches has been a performer and teacher on the Calgary arts scene for almost 40 years. A local actor and voice coach, Ches has worked with such theatre companies as Quest Theatre and Theatre Junction. Under his company, "Power of Speech" founded in 1990, Ches also conducts a variety of business workshops in the area of spoken communication and presentation skills. He has worked extensively within the business community in Calgary and around Canada. His clients and students include people and companies from all walks of life: CEOs, teachers, health care professionals, motivational speakers, actors, politicians, lawyers, etc., in short most anyone involved in the act of 'speech'.
