Ruth McCosh

From Inglis, Manitoba, Ruth McCosh is the daughter of a farmer and church organist. She was raised on a diet of fresh air and Bach chorales. Ruth holds a Bachelor of Music from Brandon University, and a Master of Music History from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Her studies focussed on the music of the German Romantic school.

Ruth taught piano and theory in Halifax for ten years before locating to Calgary in 2000. Ruth has been on faculty at the Mount Royal College Conservatory since 2001.
