How to make your gift
We want to prepare our graduates to be invaluable citizens and leaders within the community. Mount Royal gives them the competitive edge of the younger generation.
At Mount Royal, we firmly believe that a lack of financial resources should never prevent any student from pursuing an education. You can make a difference in the lives of students by making a gift today to a variety of areas. Like our supporters, we know the value of optimal resources for teaching and learning — preparing our graduates to be invaluable citizens and leaders within the community. Help us continue to give our younger generation the competitive edge to make their dreams come true.
It's easy to make your contribution online, by mail or fax, or even visit us in person. We also accept gifts-in-kind, bequests in wills and gifts of marketable securities. You are welcome to designate your gift to one of our funding priorities or another area of interest, and we are happy to work with you to find a designation that appeals to you most. There are many options for giving that can suit your needs. For example, some employers offer a gift matching program that could double the impact of the gift if you are able to utilize such a program.
By fax, mail, over the phone, email or in person: Simply fill out the pledge form directly on screen, print and forward to us. We accept Visa and MasterCard. Please make your cheque payable to the Mount Royal University Foundation (Charitable Registration # 14062 1103 RR 0001) and indicate an area of designation for your gift.

We gladly accept gifts of marketable securities as a way of fulfilling your pledge and are grateful for your support. To make a gift of marketable securities, please note:
- You endorse or sign over ownership of securities to Mount Royal University through your broker (see sample letters below with instructions for your financial advisor/broker for transfers). Please copy the Mount Royal University Foundation and Mount Royal University Financial Services on share transfer instructions.
- Your financial advisor/broker will advise our portfolio manager of the details of the gift of shares (see instructions for your broker’s use below). The Foundation will work with Mount Royal Financial Services to receive the shares into the University’s investment portfolio.
- RBC Dominion Securities, RBC Dexia or CIBC Wood Gundy will advise us when the transfer is complete. The fair market value of the shares will be verified. This is the share price at the end of trading on the date of transfer, multiplied by the number of shares.
- Once appropriate supporting documentation as confirmation that the gift has been received, the Foundation will issue a tax receipt for the fair market value of the gift.
