Proud citizen
Mount Royal is proud to serve the community. Helping to educate the population is certainly our first priority, but Mount Royal also takes pride in answering the community’s needs in other ways. One such example is Mount Royal’s response to the nursing shortage. We increased our intake into the Bachelor of Nursing program and created a program to educate internationally-trained nurses in Canadian standards, Bridge to Canadian Nursing .

Community services
The campus is first and foremost about students, but it is also home to wide variety of services for the community. Mount Royal’s conference facilities have hosted everything from international conferences to weddings. Recreation has a top-quality fitness facility including gym, running track, climbing wall and salt-water pool. The EnCana Wellness Centre provides optimal therapies such as massage. At the BookStore you can purchase stationary items, gifts, clothing and, of course, books.

Partnership
Mount Royal has strong partnerships with numerous organizations. A few of the many ways we partner with others include:

  • Career Services staff who work closely with those who employ our students
  • Faculties also work closely with those in their industries through advisory boards.
  • Mount Royal is continually working with industries to provide the most relevant training to introduce people to a new career or build upon their existing skill set. Check out the options in our Centre for Business Development and Continuing Education.
