24 hour emergency contact

If there is an immediate danger to the health or safety of yourself or others, call 911.

  • If you are on campus, after calling 911, call MRU Security Services at 403.440.5900 or use a Red Phone. Security Services responds to alarms and accidents, provides emergency first aid and responds to unusual activity on campus 24/7.
  • Go to the nearest Hospital Emergency Department or Urgent Care Centre (e.g. Sheldon Chumir Centre).

Call or drop by Student Counselling and inform the reception desk that you are in crisis. Walk-in services are available for MRU students.

MRU Health Services Clinic

Call or drop by Health Services and inform the reception that you are in crisis. A mental health nurse will connect with you to determine your health needs and help identify on- and off-campus crisis resources. This service is available to MRU students and employees.

Concerning Behaviour on Campus Team (CBCT)

Call MRU Security Services at 403.440.5900 and ask for the CBCT team.
Call to report a behavior that could indicate a person may cause harm to themselves or others.

MRU Residence Advisor

For after hours residence crisis support, call the Residence Advisor On Duty and ask to speak with a Residence Life Coordinator.
If you live in MRU Residence, a member of the Residence Life team is available to provide you with support 24/7.
