Basics Courses | Professional Development Course

The Centre for Complementary Health Education at Mount Royal University has been a pioneer in massage therapy education, offering industry-recognized certificates since 1982. 

Mount Royal incorporates the latest concepts and techniques in the field of massage therapy. Programs include theoretical course work and practical experience that develops well-trained graduates.

Program Delivery
Mount Royal University offers two Massage Therapy programs:
• 1100-hour Massage Therapy Certificate
• 2200-hour Massage Therapy Diploma

Graduates of the 1100-hour Massage Therapy Certificate (or equivalent) can transfer their course work to the 2200-hour Massage Therapy Diploma.

Tuition
1100-hour Massage Therapy Certificate: $8,690; textbooks and materials are additional (approx. $1000). Fees are paid per course upon registration.

2200-hour Massage Therapy Diploma: $17,479; textbooks and materials are additional (approx $2000). Fees are paid per course upon registration.

Scholarships
Twelve $1000 scholarships are available to students enrolled in the Massage Therapy program. There are 6 scholarships awarded in the first year and 6 scholarships awarded in the second year. Massage Basics
Unsure if massage therapy is a career choice for you? Practice basic massage strokes and relaxation techniques in this ideal introduction to the world of massage.
Note: Please bring a set of twin sheets, a pillow and vegetable oil in a plastic container.

Massage Basics, Level 2
Expand on the knowledge gained in Massage Basics, Level 1 while practising basic massage strokes and relaxation techniques in this introduction to the work of massage.
Prerequisite: Massage Basics, Level 1
