This course provides a non-technical introduction to the use of computers and their impact on society. Major topics in the field will be explored, ranging from the workings of the
microcomputer to the implications of the Internet. Students will use microcomputers for word processing, spreadsheet analysis, database management and communications.
Note: Credit will be allowed for only one of Computer Science 1205, 1207, 1209, 1213 and 2203. Students who have completed Computer Science 1171, cannot also receive credit for Computer Science 2203.
