MyMRU

MyMRU is the Mount Royal online portal and it provides secure online resources for on-campus and distance students, faculty and staff. These resources include:

• course registration
• student schedules
• student account information
• online fee payment
• class lists, wait lists
• final grade entry (faculty)
• e-mail
• Blackboard

Blackboard

Blackboard is a special area of MyMRU where you will find information specific to each of your classes. In technology enhanced and blended delivery courses, this may include online resources, modules and activities. In fully online courses, Blackboard is the primary way you will access course resources, content and activities, as well as communicate with your classmates and instructor.

Student computer lab information

Mount Royal has five computer labs available for students. Find more information about lab locations, hours of operation and lab policies here.

Mount Royal Helpdesk

The Mount Royal helpdesk provides technical support to students and employees for college-supported software and hardware. Find information about hours of operation, submitting a call and obtaining assistance, here.

Library laptop sign-out program

You can sign out a laptop computer from the Mount Royal library for short periods of time to work on presentations or group work. Find more information, here.

Laptop rental program

If you need a laptop for a longer period of time, you can rent one for up to two weeks. Find more information here.

Wireless coverage areas

Because more students use mobile devices — such as laptops and PDAs — to access online learning materials, Mount Royal provides wireless Internet access at a variety of locations across campus. Find the most recent information about wireless access locations, here.

START program

The START (Student Technicians and Resource Tutors) program offers a number of technology support services for students:

• Student drop-in sessions for one-to-one technology support (no appointment necessary);
• Free on-campus technology workshops for students;
• Online workshop handouts and instructional information sheets;
• Online tutorials.
