Most students who register in Physical Education — University Transfer at Mount Royal transfer to the University of Calgary. The links you will find below are designed to help students who are intending to transfer to the U of C.

Many Mount Royal University Physical Education courses will also transfer to the University of Lethbridge and the University of Alberta. Transfer Guidelines

Mount Royal University’s Physical Education University Transfer program offers equivalents to first and second year courses in a kinesiology or human kinetics degree program. Many courses may be transferable to other post secondary institutions as well. For more information you can contact the degree granting institution.

As a transfer student, it is important to know and understand that it is your responsibility to conduct the necessary research to ensure your transferability and admissibility to your desired program and institution. Please use the following tools to assist with your research:

Admissions Strategy - Transferring to Another Institution

  • Start planning your admissions strategy to your desired institution in your first year at MRU. The courses you take in year 1 and 2 will determine if you are eligible for admission, they will also be used to determine if you are a competitive applicant.
  • Know your desired institution’s admissions requirements, the competitive admissions criteria and averages as well as the important dates and deadlines.

Course Selection at MRU

  • Know what institution you plan to attend to complete your degree and plan your courses according to your desired institution’s degree requirements.
  • If you plan to transfer within Alberta you can use The Alberta Transfer Guide.
  • If you plan to transfer out of province you should discuss your course selection with the institution you are planning to attend.
  • Find out how many courses you will be allowed to transfer into your desired program and if there is a maximum of core courses or options.
