My name is Jeannie Park and music has always been a part of my life. It started in Seoul, Korea where I began taking piano lessons from age 6. Through various masterclasses and experiences as an accompanist in church, high school and university choirs, my passion for music was matured and enriched. After my immigration to Canada in 1997, I became involved with two German choirs, the German Ladies’ Choir of Calgary and Singgemeinschaft, and at a local church as an accompanist. Currently, I conduct for Singgemeinschaft and Heimatecho, an Austrian choir, while I continue to accompany for the German Ladies’ Choir of Calgary. I have also been accompanying at the Waldorf school for several years in their Eurythmy classes as well as for vocal studio. Further, I teach piano to elementary school children. I am very excited to play with the Mount Royal Childrens’ Choir and believe that it will be a great year.
