The Calgary Piano Institute is an intensive one-week piano immersion program. Students in the program can accelerate through lessons and practice that would normally take a month or longer.
Activities for Junior, Intermediate and Senior levels include:
masterclasses
private lessons
technique classes
practice time
ensembles
In addition to the above each group will have a program specifally designed for their level of development.
Junior level - RCM Grades 1 - 3
reading skills
aural skills
introductory history
musicianship classes
Intermediate level - RCM Grades 4 - 6
reading skills
aural skills
introductory jazz
music history
Senior level - RCM Grades 7 - 9
harpsichord skills
organ skills
performance skills
accompaniment skills

Advanced pianists (Grade 10 and up) will have both masterclasses and private lessons. Students at this level will have an option to focus on one of the following areas:
solo repertoire
chamber repertoire
harpsichord
organ
accompaniment
composition
theory
history
After-hours option: recreational activities like swimming, capture the flag, wall climbing and more.
