PROCEDURES

Procedures
1.1
The individual requesting assistance should acquire an "Educational
Opportunities after Position Abolishment" form from the Department of
Human Resources.
1.2
The completed form should be returned to the Department of Human
Resources for approval.
1.3
The individual will be notified with regard to approval.
1.4
If the application is approved, the individual may register in the appropriate
activity and tuition will be paid as follows:
a. The individual will not be required to pay the admission deposit fee.
b. Initially, tuition will be paid in advance by the Department of Human Resources.
Tuition will continue to be paid in advance for the subsequent course(s) providing
that upon completion of the course(s) the individual submits to the Department
of Human Resources a copy of the transcript indicating successful completion of
the credit course(s) or the instructor's signature indicating attendance at the non-
credit course(s).
c. If the individual did not successfully complete all of the courses during the first
semester, they will pay the course tuition in full for any subsequent course(s)
and may be reimbursed dependent upon funds being available, approval, and
successful completion of the credit course(s) or attendance at the non-credit
course(s).
d. If, in the second semester the individual does not provide evidence of successful
completion of one or more courses, no further tuition will be approved
