Marianne is a well-recognized figure in the Calgary music scene. She has been motivating students in a wide variety of settings for over 35 years. Having earned a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance as well as a Bachelor of Education from the University of Calgary, she is well equipped to teach, inspire, nurture and support your child. She has collected several awards and recognition as a teacher. Using a wide array of creative techniques and activities within a proven structural platform, Marianne has established and maintained a large, successful, confident, and satisfied class of students. Inspired by the uniqueness of each child, she motivates, directs, and provides the skills necessary for success in music as well as life, in general. Her students have performed exceptionally well at both the local and national levels. Marianne knows children. Her wealth of knowledge and experience, as well as her passion for music and children, keep most students returning until adulthood, at which point they bring their own children to her studio.

In addition to maintaining a busy studio, Marianne continues to work as a collaborative artist, as she has done for most of her life. All the skills that apply to her teaching also apply to her accompanying as she works with young string players in the Academy Program at the MRU Conservatory. In addition to strings, she has extensive experience playing for choirs, vocal soloists, wind players, musical theatre groups and ballet classes.
