Kim Aull

Suzuki Faculty
- Suzuki Guitar Instructor

Embracing the Suzuki philosophy that Every Child Can Learn, classical guitarist Kim Aull, endeavors to foster each child's musical talent. She believes strongly that a child's parent is the most important person to support their personal success, and that classes with their peers is critical for motivation.

Kim Aull studied with Manuel Galvez and Sharon Carne at the MRU Conservatory since 1984. She has attended several Suzuki Teacher Training Institutes learning about Suzuki guitar pedagogy from Frank Longay, Bill Kossler, Dave Madsen and Andrea Cannon. Kim also trained in Suzuki Early Childhood Education with Dorthy Jones. In addition to teaching in Calgary for over two decades, Kim has taught at Hummingbird Music Camp in Jemez Springs, New Mexico, the Brandon Suzuki Institute, and the Guitar Academy Program at MRU Conservatory.

MRU Suzuki Guitar students regularly participate in many musical activities, including Calgary Suzuki String Association events, Suzuki Association of the Americas Institutes,  MRU Guitar Academy, Calgary Performing Arts Festival, and master classes made possible through the Classical Guitar Society of Calgary. Kim's students are active in the community and enjoy supporting one another in playing guitar.
