FAQs
What type of students are you looking for?
We seek individuals eager to explore innovation beyond the classroom and are looking to acquire career-enhancing skills. To qualify, you must have completed one of our programs and be a full-time or part-time MRU student enrolled in a degree or transfer program with good academic standing. Unfortunately, open studies students are ineligible for our programming. However, we warmly welcome you to join our community events and benefit from our mentoring and coaching services, extended to students campus-wide.
What is the time commitment?
3-5 hours a month. Being an ambassador is meant to fit easily into your schedule as a student. Most duties (i.e. class talks, poster hanging) can be done on your own time.
Can I put this on my resume?
For sure! Being an ambassador is a great way to add experience to your resume and elevate your personal brand.
Do I need to be on campus?
Ambassador opportunities are in person as most of our events, meetings and recruiting will take place on campus. Occasionally events are hosted off campus and we welcome everyone who is able to join.
