That officially wraps up our 12th JMH LaunchPad Pitch Competition! The event showcased a variety of passionate and talented student entrepreneurs on April 3rd, 2024. The Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship is beyond proud and happy for these outstanding students for presenting their business ventures on stage in front of 300+ attendees.
Our judges Allison Swelin, Elissa Grohne, Jason Zeiler, and Brad Williamson were tasked with the responsibility of awarding the prizes to the winners for our 2024 JMH LaunchPad Pitch Competition below:
Charter Beselt – AVIS Drone Solutions - $10,000 JMH & Co. Award, $5,000 LaunchPad Alumni Award, $15,000 Catch Digital Award
AVIS Drone Solutions saves farmers time and money through efficient drone mapping. The result is an efficient solution to issues farmers face every year.
Jasmail Duck & Mehtaab Gill – Nextprep - $10,000 JMH & Co. Award
Nextprep is a platform that allows recruiters to evaluate candidates' technical skills without the need to learn technical lingo.
Reese Finlay – 88 Degree Tuning - $10,000 JMH & Co. Award
88 Degree Tuning offers mobile ski and snowboard maintenance, directly bringing waxing and tuning services to your doorstep. 88 Degrees Tuning aims to expand across Canada, ensuring every city can access convenient, top-notch gear care.
Mike Chen – MK Studio - $10,000 JMH & Co. Award
MK Studio is a leader in Canadian industrial plastic manufacturing utilizing sustainable, high-quality, and affordable 3D printing.
Emma Ghiultu – Adapted - $10,000 connectFirst Credit Union Social Impact Award
Adapted designs and produces fishing rods with accessibility features, reducing barriers for those with limited upper body mobility to participate in outdoor activities.
