The Mount Royal Student Investment Fund (SIF) is a new and transformative student experience. This experience offers real-world exposure in finance through the careful analysis and investing of conservative investments. Open to students from all faculties, this intense one-year program allows students to learn by actually investing a portion of the Mount Royal University's endowment. Students study opportunities in different industries, selecting potential companies after extensive research, while performing anlysis based on ethics and compliance with best practices. Ideas are constatly generated and analyzed in weekly meetings, where the debate is rigorous, and investment decisions are based on a majority vote by the entire team.
