Professor selected for local and global initiatives
Dr. Ranjan Datta, PhD, from the Department of Humanities, was selected for both the City of Calgary’s Anti Racism Action committee and the UN Environment Programme's seventh Global Environment Outlook (GEO-7) initiative. The Anti Racism Action committee was formed to offer support and further combat systemic racism in local policy making, while the UN initiative allows attendees to deeply engage with GEO-7’s structure and contribute meaningful insights on the environmental impacts of the global pandemic, recent disasters and conflicts.
