Scholarly Interests:

For my PhD, I specialized in Educational Research, specifically in Learning Sciences. Currently, as a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Calgary, my research is focused in the field of School and Applied Child Psychology, specifically school mental health. My research interests extend to social-emotional learning, educational neuroscience, teaching and learning, and transdisciplinary research. This combination of areas allows me to explore the intersections between psychological well-being, educational practices, and the broader learning environment, aiming to enhance student outcomes and promote holistic educational experiences.

Teaching Statement:

My approach to teaching is grounded in student-centered learning, ensuring that each student's unique needs and perspectives are at the forefront of my educational practice. I emphasize transdisciplinarity, integrating knowledge across disciplines to provide a more holistic and interconnected learning experience. My teaching is informed by the latest research, utilizing evidence-based practices to enhance student outcomes. Additionally, I am passionate about fostering a culture of lifelong learning, encouraging students to continuously seek knowledge and growth beyond the classroom. By creating an inclusive and dynamic learning environment, I aim to empower students to become active, engaged learners who are prepared to navigate and contribute to an ever-changing world.
