External Award Opportunities
Mount Royal University students are eligible to apply for several awards opportunities offered through external organizations. These awards are competitive as they may be offered to post-secondary students attending universities across Alberta or Canada.
The awards listed below are external opportunities with upcoming deadlines. External awards are not administered by Mount Royal University; applications or requests for more information must be submitted directly to the organization administering the award (unless otherwise stated).
Upcoming External Awards Deadlines
Indigenous Careers Award
The Indigenous Careers Award is designed to encourage Indigenous Albertans (First Nations, Métis, and Inuit) to pursue and complete
post-secondary studies in certificate, diploma, applied degree, and bachelor's degree programs that lead to high-demand career outcomes in Alberta.
Deadline: November 15, 2019
Amount: $2,000 per semester
Submit your completed application and supporting documentation in person to the Student Awards and Financial Aid Office (E102) at Mount Royal University.
3M National Student Fellowship
The 3M National Student Fellowship honours up to ten full-time diploma and undergraduate students at Canadian post-secondary institutions who have demonstrated outstanding leadership in their lives, at their post-secondary institution. These students embrace a vision of education that enhances their academic experience and beyond.
Awardees will be invited to the annual conference of the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE) in June, where they will participate in a 3M National Student Fellowship Program retreat and lead the closing plenary. Awardees will receive a contribution towards their cost of travel, accommodation during the conference, and conference registration.
Deadline: January 31, 2020
Amount: Up to ten at $5,000 each

North American Van Lines 2019 Logistics Scholarship
North American Van lines strive to be fully and consistently committed toward cultivating the future of young professionals across Canada and beyond. They are offering a new opportunity for qualifying Canadian students to receive a scholarship intended for students in the area of business, logistics, and similar fields.
Deadline: December 15, 2019
Amount: Two at $1,000 each

2019 Chamberlain Group Scholarship
Chamberlain Real Estate Group offers a scholarship to college/university students enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate program for 2019. The scholarship will be disbursed directly to the student's college/university, and must be used for undergraduate/graduate studies.
Deadline: December 15, 2019
Amount: One at $500
