Enabling MFA on GlobalProtect VPN
Mount Royal uses the Duo Security authentication service to provide MFA for GlobalProtect VPN access.
How to enable MFA using Duo Security
1. Determine what you want to use as a second login factor. You can use one of the following:
Using an authentication key as a second factor requires a bit more effort than just using a phone. Once you successfully enter your password, you insert a keyinto your computer's USB port and then push a button when prompted. While this is inconvenient as you have to carry a key around and remember to remove it from the device, it is the best option if you don't have an Android phone or an iPhone or you don't want to use your personal device for work.
If you require an authentication key, please fill out this request form. You will only be provided with one. If you lose or break it, you can purchase another one from Amazon. If you use an authentication key to login to your MRU email, you can setup the same key to use with the GlobalProtect VPN.
