Are these people stupid? No, they have been ambushed in public and are succumbing to the human need to be cooperative. You can see many of them struggle mentally. They know what they are doing is not wise but they want to be accepted. Attackers use similar tactics to get 1 in 10 of us to give up our passwords. It can happen to anyone. By enabling multi-factor authentication our accounts stay safe even if we are persuaded to give up our passwords.
