MRU Cybersecurity Community Chat
If you want to be notified of the cyber attacks that are hitting the campus as they happen, then the MRU Cybersecurity Community chat is for you. This Google chat space is updated with the latest phishing emails that are being reported as they are being reported. No more waiting days for the Cyber Spotlight to come out. No more checking the Cybersecurity Hub several times a day to check alerts. Now you can join the MRU Cybersecurity Community chat and be notified the moment new phishing email reports come in.
This chat space is more than just a list of malicious emails, you can post to it too. If you have always wanted to help out your colleagues by sharing the phishing emails that you have found, then this is the place for you. If you have an email that you know is malicious, forward it to the chat space by emailing MRU-Cybersecurity-Community-Chat.gg@mtroyal.ca then report the email to google. Do you have burning questions about password managers, VPNs or other cybersecurity tools? Post them to the chat space and get instant answers.
While the chat space is a great place to chat with others about everything cybersecurity and stay up to date on the latest cyber attacks, it is not a support line. If you need help with your device, please contact the IT Service Desk for the fastest service.
Once you join the chat, don't forget to click the Share tab at the top of the chat space to check out the Cybersecurity Chat Guidelines
