Student counselling services provide free, confidential help to students dealing with personal, relationship, educational, career, or mental health concerns.
What We Offer
One-on-One Counselling
We provide individual counselling in three areas, available as single or ongoing sessions:
- Personal Counselling: Support for well-being, academic performance, and issues like stress, anxiety, loneliness, relationships, and addictions.
- Career Counselling: Guidance in finding career paths, choosing a major, and considering personal factors like interests and motivations.
- Educational Counselling: Help with overcoming academic challenges and balancing well-being with school demands.
Note: Most students attend 3-4 sessions, though the number varies based on individual needs and available resources.
Group Counselling
We offer free, single-session workshops on health and wellness topics, along with multi-session support groups for student success.
Walk-in Sessions
Walk-in counselling is available Monday to Friday afternoons for same-day support. Appointments begin at 12:45 p.m. at Wellness Services U216, with the last booking by 3:15 p.m. Sessions are about 30 minutes and are first-come, first-served.

24-hour cancellation notice is required for all appointments with a counselor. Missed appointments without notice may affect access to future appointments.
Confidentiality
Counselling records are confidential, shared only under specific conditions such as imminent risk of harm, suspected abuse, legal subpoenas, or community safety concerns. We will take all the time you need to review these policies with you prior to your first appointment.
