Join Canada’s 1st Indigenous Career Mentorship!
Mount Royal University Career Services invites you to join Canada’s first Indigenous Career Mentorship Program, connecting post-secondary Indigenous students with Indigenous and non-Indigenous industry professionals.
This is a great opportunity to shape your future career development with a manageable commitment of just 2 hours a month from January - April 2025. Registration is open from September 16 - November 29, 2024. See the drop down menu below for information on how to register as a mentee or a mentor.
This program is inspired by the Indigenous way of knowing, where people are diverse but share a common worldview: the interconnectedness of all living things, connections to the land and community, the dynamic nature of the world and the strength of “power with rather than power over”. In a peaceful and organic way the mentor and mentee will walk together, weaving the strands of their relationship like the fibers of sweetgrass to complete a beautiful braid of friendship, mentorship and community.
The pairings can be any combination of Indigenous to Indigenous, or Indigenous to non Indigenous.
