Information Design Instructor
Chase Schrader is a digital creator and business owner with a passion for producing powerful digital experiences. As an information design and marketing alumni, he further refined his leadership and project management skills at the Centre for Digital Media in Vancouver before returning to Calgary to continue to pursue his entrepreneurial goals. As an emerging technology and adventure enthusiast, he leads the creation of highly effective and impactful experiences, creating several effective solutions ranging from AR experiences to boutique e-commerce brands.
Throughout his journey, Chase has been involved in multiple XR applications and prototypes, one of which took first place in an Adobe Design Jam. During his time at the Mount Royal University Library, he created DeciphAR, an augmented reality app for translating Blackfoot and providing information in the Riddell Library and Learning Centre. Furthermore, during his time at the Libary, he managed and created content in the Experience Lab, a space for everyone to explore emerging technologies. As a leader, he managed his cohort's capstone project, Humanly and a student-hosted design jam, Protohype, before jumping head-first into the industry and leading the creation of two student projects in partnership with the Northwest Territories Tourism and KPMG Ignition. Moreover, as a digital creator, he has also developed engaging stories for multiple brands, massing almost 10 million impressions and rapidly growing his own businesses.
Now back in Calgary, Chase continues to cultivate his entrepreneurial spirit and optimistic self as he shares his passion for producing powerful digital experiences with like-minded people as contract faculty and a voice in the growing outdoor adventure community.
