Alana graduated from the Mount Royal Broadcasting program in 1994.
She began her media career as a creative writer for CJAY 92 in Calgary. When an opportunity to work in a Television creative department came along, Alana jumped at the chance.
During her career in Television creative she moved around Alberta working on everything from commercials to programming. In 2006 she was given the chance to fulfill her dream of teaching broadcasting full time. Mount Royal holds a special place for Alana and she’s been fortunate to be a part of the transition of the broadcasting program from a diploma to a 4 year degree.
Alana earned her Masters degree in Communications, Media and Advertising and can’t think of anything better than sharing her passion for media with the students at MRU.
