Speech Coordinator
Ruth is the Speech Coordinator with the Department of Broadcasting in the SCS. She has diplomas in both Speech & Drama and Broadcasting from Mount Royal University, The Royal Conservatory of Toronto and a fellowship from Trinity Guildhall of London (England). She has been instrumental in the design of a variety of voice and speech courses and the development of a degree minor in Speech.
She has taught Effective Communications, Voice & Diction, and Delivery Techniques for Theatre to countless MRU students over the years.
Ruth is a well known speaker, and adjudicator, and was the Lead Examiner for the International Schools Association’s Oral English Examinations, a syllabus of Spoken English examinations which she co-developed and which have been used in South America for over past twenty years.
She is experienced in giving workshops and seminars for educators, business and the community.
