Consent Awareness Week
Welcome to Mounty Royal University's page on National Consent Awareness Week, observed every third week of September. This week is dedicated to empowering our community with knowledge about consent, fostering understanding about sexual violence prevention, and providing support for those affected. Join us as we come together to learn, educate, and reaffirm our commitment to creating a campus culture built on respect, understanding, and solidarity.
Throughout the week, we will host a series of engaging events, workshops, and discussions led by experts in the field, aimed at equipping our students, faculty, and staff with the tools to navigate healthy relationships and promote consent in all interactions. From interactive seminars on affirmative consent to survivor support groups and self-defense classes, there's something for everyone to participate in and contribute to the conversation.
Let's stand united in our efforts to combat sexual violence, dismantle harmful stereotypes, and create a safer, more inclusive campus environment. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that everyone's voice is heard and respected.
