Steve is completing his seventh year as dean, and 24th year at Mount Royal University in Calgary, AB, Canada. With a PhD in higher education leadership, Steve is a student and scholar of leadership, student engagement, and coaching (sport) effectiveness. He has experience in education, coaching, academic advising and university administration. Steve was given a Blackfoot name from Elder Miisika’am (Clarence Wolfleg Sr.), Ai piss sa pi, which translates to Scout. Steve takes this gift seriously and does his best to lead in a manner a scout exploring new territory would.
