Nathan Ackroyd is an Associate Professor who specializes in Organic and Medicinal Chemistry. His PhD work involved the design and synthesis of organometallic complexes of rhenium for use as radio-imaging agents in the diagnosis of breast cancer. In addition to teaching Organic Chemistry and related courses to science students, Dr. Ackroyd is part of an author team on a new textbook, Organic Chemistry: Mechanistic Patterns, now in it's first edition.
