Dr Perez de Scott has taught at Mount Royal University since 2018. Previously she was a university professor in her native Venezuela. Her speciality is Heterogeneous Catalysis applied to Oil and Gas. Her carrier has been dedicated to the development of catalysts for the transformation of green gases into fuels (Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis – GTL process).
Since her arrival to Canada she worked at the University of Calgary, on the development of catalysts and processes for heavy oil upgrading via Aquaprocessing, a technology recently patented in a joint collaboration between Nanostech and CENOVUS Energy. More recently she dedicates her research to the development of a catalytic technology to transform biomass into fuels.
She currently teaches first-year General Chemistry Labs CHEM 1202
