Prior to immigrating to Canada, Rod taught high school chemistry at Advanced and Scholarship level in the UK and in Zimbabwe, where he was also an assistant principal. He has worked at Mount Royal since 2005. In his teaching, Rod places a strong emphasis on student engagement and where appropriate uses an 'active learning' approach. Another equally important aspect for Rod is to direct students towards study habits that will be more effective in bringing success.
