Aresh is currently an Assistant Professor at Mount Royal University, where he focuses on advancing data-driven modeling of emerging communication networks and optimal control of spreading processes in complex networks. He has published his research in top-tier IEEE journals and conferences.
Prior to joining Mount Royal University, Aresh served as a Researcher in the Department of Computing Science and Faculty of Arts at the University of Alberta, leveraging network science and performance evaluation tools to contribute to diverse projects, including gender equity analysis in the global film industry and age of information in wireless networks. Before this role, he held the position of Assistant Professor in the ECE Department at Nazarbayev University, Kazakhstan, for over four years.
Driven by a passion for integrating teaching and research, Aresh actively cultivates collaborative networks and mentors students in practical data science and networking projects. His research has received support from grants such as SSHRC and FDRP, and he is always looking for motivated students interested in these fields.
