How an agent can help you
If you are an international student interested in applying to Mount Royal, authorized agents can help you with program selection and the MRU application process. This includes:
- Program and application inquiries
- Completing applications, including submission of transcripts
- Study permit applications and information
Please note that agents CAN NOT:
- Guarantee admission
- Register students for courses
- Guarantee a study permit
Agent fees
If you are considering working with an agent, please be aware some agents may charge a fee for services. This fee is charged by the agent, not by Mount Royal. We recommend students discuss all services and associated fees with agents in advance.
Release of personal information
If you are using a Mount Royal authorized agent, you must complete a Mount Royal University Authorized Agent form. This form allows Mount Royal to communicate directly with your agent. The authorized agent will provide you with the necessary form.

What sets MRU apart
Mount Royal’s exclusive offering of undergraduate degrees and English language training for international students provides a focused environment to start university study. As a mid-size institution, we prioritize students’ success. Mount Royal students are given opportunities to participate in research and experiential learning as part of the undergraduate experience, ensuring they are well-prepared to begin their careers or pursue graduate studies.
Applying to become an agent
Mount Royal works with experienced international agents focusing on undergraduate programs (degree, diploma and certificate) and foundation programs, including English language programs. Consideration will be given to prospective agents based on the following:
- Geographic areas of recruitment activities that align with our strategies
- Knowledge of the education system in Canada and familiarity with the policies and guidelines of studying in Canada
- Ethical and professional business practices
- Experience in the field of student recruitment
Before you complete the form, please note the following:
- We are currently only considering agents recruiting students from Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and UAE.
- Commission will only be paid to authorized agents who are approved and have signed a contractual agreement with Mount Royal University
- We receive a high volume of applications; only those who are selected to proceed in the application process will be contacted for the next steps
Authorized use of MRU's logo
Mount Royal's logo reflects our directions as a university as well as our proud history. It is rich in symbolism and tradition and has been internationally recognized. For this reason, basic rules for proper use and consistent design have been developed to maintain the integrity of our logo. Before using the MRU logo, please review our logo graphic guidelines.
