Teaching Statement: 
As an instructor in primarily introductory courses, I use a wide range of rhetorical forms (texts, films, speeches, interviews, debates) to challenge and build on students’ critical thinking skills. By facilitating students’ pursuit of topics of their own interest, I encourage their active engagement with issues to motivate increasing competence and confidence in their academic writing.
