Teaching Statement:
Colin Martin's research focusses on small and micro-press publishing in Canada, and he has been teaching at MRU in the Department of English, Languages, and Cultures since 2017. He teaches multiple academic writing courses (GNED 1401, GNED 1403, GNED 1404), literature survey classes (ENGL 1151, ENGL 1152), Canadian Literature (ENGL 2271), Technical Writing (ENGL 2263), and Graphic Novels (ENGL 3394) among others. He has published poetry, fiction, and critical work in a number of venues, and has served as the President of the Alexandra Writers' Centre (2017-2021), filling Station Magazine (2007-2014), and as the founding editor of NōD Magazine (2005-2006). He currently sits as the President of the Alberta Writers' Guild.
