Scholarly Interests:
Dr. Fontenelle-Tereshchuk is a dynamic educator and scholar with a combined 20 years of Canadian and international teaching and research experience. She received her PhD in English Language and Curriculum Studies from the University of Alberta and, her MA in Second Language Teaching from the University of Calgary. Her research experience includes one of the first authored studies on the perceived impact of COVID-19 school lookdowns on young children. The study generated three articles with a combined 40k reads and almost 200 citations, mainly in education, psychology and psychiatry papers. As a researcher, Dr. Fontenelle-Tereshchuk is interested in the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on high school students writing and its ramifications on first-year university students’ writing and the use of new technologies such as ChatGPT.
