Business Academic Advising

The Business Advisors provide information to current students on the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), minors offered by the Bissett School of Business, and advanced certificates offered in the Bissett School of Business.

Students can meet one-on-one for information on program planning, transfer credit, registration issues, graduation requirements and assist in interpreting MRU policy and procedures. The Advisors also refer students to Career Services, Co-operative Education, Awards & Financial Aid, Student Learning Services, Student Counselling, International Education and Admissions & Recruitment.

The Advisors also conduct Group Advising Sessions each Spring for newly admitted students.  The dates for these sessions are posted online when available.

Advisors can give you options, things to think about and provide you referrals to various MRU services. We can you assist in the interpretation of policies and procedures.  Advisors help you understand degree & program requirements, and why they exist.
Advisors cannot pick your courses, tell you what to major in, or make decisions for you.
