Patti Trussler
Patti Trussler has worked for over 25 years in the English language learning field, both in Alberta and Ontario. This includes a diverse range of teacher training as well as teaching experiences. During the past 9 years, she has held a leadership position within the Calgary Board of Education, supporting both ELL teachers as well as those in other curricular areas, including pre-service student teachers. She has assisted with curriculum development, assessment and reporting strategies as well as adaptation and accommodations for ELLs in a variety of academic environments. She is currently pursuing her doctoral studies at the University of Calgary, with a specialization in language and literacy, focusing on the language and social needs of refugee youth.
