Meagan is a PhD candidate at the University of Calgary in Community Health Sciences, specializing in Medical Education with a focus on the psychosocial aspects of injury rehabilitation. With extensive experience as an athletic therapist, Meagan is dedicated to improving athlete care through the integration of both physical and mental health approaches. Her research focuses on the education and training of athletic therapists, exploring how a psychosocial framework can be effectively applied to injury rehabilitation practices.
In addition to her research, Meagan is an instructor in the Department of Health and Physical Education, where she is committed to training the next generation of healthcare professionals. She incorporates her clinical expertise into her teaching, preparing students to adopt a holistic, patient-centered approach in their practice. Passionate about advancing athletic therapy, Meagan’s work seeks to innovate both clinical and educational practices to improve patient outcomes.
