There are no admission requirements for the LEAP Program. However, our program is not designed for beginners. We recommend that students have a minimum CLB 4 in all strands, LINC 4 completion, or IELTS 3.5. If you do not know your English level, you can take an online CLB self-assessment to get an estimate of your English level before you apply. 

Upcoming Semester Dates

  • Spring 2025: May 5 - August 13, 2025
  • Fall 2025: September 4 - December 9, 2025
  • Winter 2026: January 6 - April 13, 2026

 

Application Deadline for Students Requiring Study Permits 

We welcome applications from all international students, including those on-shore and off-shore, for our Fall, Winter, and Spring intakes.

Due to the timing of study permit processing, we have specific application deadlines for students who need a study permit to attend LEAP. This applies to both off-shore international students and those new to MRU who will need to re-apply for a study permit. 

Application Deadlines:

  • Fall Semester: April 1
  • Winter Semester: August 1
  • Spring Semester: January 1

Applications submitted after these deadlines will automatically be deferred to the next available term. We will continue to accept applications from students who do not require a study permit until the program closes for admission.
