Instructor Profile:

After receiving technical diplomas from Lethbridge College in both Renewable Resource Management and Natural Resource Compliance, I eventually landed on Mount Royal University as the perfect destination to continue my academic journey. Upon graduating in 2017 from the Environmental Science undergraduate program, I spent the summer working with the Alberta government for their Aquatic Invasive Species Program before settling into agricultural based research. This took me through more conventional field crop research with companies like Bayer Crop-science and BASF until I eventually ended up as a Regulatory and Quality Assurance Associate within the Canadian Cannabis Industry. I continued working daily with plant science, biological pest controls, environmental monitoring, laboratory testing/validation, and R&D before the opportunity presented itself to return to MRU. I leaped at the chance to come back and do my part to help contribute to the incredible learning experience I was lucky enough to originally receive within these walls. Whether preparing for laboratory sessions our out in the field, I arrive each morning excited for the adventures that are in store around every corner.
