David R. Sabiston received his Ph.D. from the University of Ottawa in 1996 and is currently a tenured faculty member with the Department of Policy Studies at Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta. Prior to joining MRU, he worked part-time at the federal Department of Finance during his graduate years and later taught at Laurentian University. His research interests lie in the field of international economics and in the pedagogical approaches to teaching economics. In addition to courses on international trade and finance, he teaches face-to-face, blended, and online sections of the principles of economics courses. He acts as a consultant for Lyryx Learning Inc. and recently co-authored two principles texts published by McGraw-Hill Ryerson Ltd.
