Leslie Biles

Leslie Biles has a BA Honours in Drama and Classics from Bishop's University, an MFA in Drama from the University of Calgary, and recently completed the Rozsa ArtsManagement program at the Haskayne School of Business. For the past 20 years she has worked in the theatre and festival world across Canada as a technician, designer, technical director, artist liaison, operations director and general manager. Currently she is the Director, Venue & Event Management for Arts Commons (formerly EPCOR CENTRE for the Performing Arts) where she is responsible for all facility and venue utilization and the Booking & Sales, Client & Patron Services, and Production departments.

Leslie believes very strongly in giving back to the community. She has sat on the Boards of Broad Minds Productions, Urban Curvz Theatre, and IATSE Local 212. She is highly involved with Rotary International; a Past President of the Rotary Club of Calgary East, a member of the Board of Directors, and also a facilitator for Rotary Leadership Institute. In 2010, Leslie was delighted to be named one of Calgary's Top 40 under 40 by Avenue magazine.
