MRU Arts Students Citizen's Cup: It's about Interactive Learning

Arts Cup

Late last summer, while all was quiet in the corridors and classrooms of the EA building, the student leaders of the Arts clubs and the Dean of Arts, Jeff Keshen, sat around a table and thought: there are untold benefits to expanding the networks and possibilities of interactions between people here at MRU. A month later, on a thankfully pleasant autumn afternoon, Arts faculty and students took to the soccer field in what became an epic 4-4 battle to the… well… tie!

Also, with the support of our amazing faculty and their willingness to get thrashed, or actually dunked in a tank following soccer, we raised $501. All but $1 will be given out at the annual SAMRU E-Awards in April as a cash prize to recognize a student who provided an outstanding commitment to building and maintaining strong communities at Mount Royal, specifically within the Arts: our first recipient of the Arts Citizenship Cup. Also stay tuned for the call to break the tie and crush faculty at next fall's soccer rematch!
