Graduating from MRU with a BBA is an amazing accomplishment, but what sets your BBA apart from your fellow classmates' BBAs? Below is a list of ways that you can differentiate your degree so that you can get the most out of your time at MRU.
- earn a Community Service Learning designation on your transcript by taking 3 approved courses
- Internationalize your degree with a field school, study abroad/exchange, or choose from a variety of available language and culture courses
- Indigenize your degree with a field school or by taking a course towards a minor in Indigenous Studies
- gain work experience while applying academic concepts to what you are learning through Co-operative Education
- choose a student leadership opportunity (volunteer or paid, on-campus or off-campus)
- volunteer on or off-campus
- contribute to undergraduate research
- belong to a student club (at the very least, belong to your discipline club (eg. Marketing Student Society), but also consider areas of interest (e.g. you could be treasurer for the Ski club)
- invest in a student membership to your industry association and get involved as a student representative or newsletter contributor
- Participate in student competitions (LaunchPad, Stock, HR, CPA, Map the System) - reach out to your professors for information on how to get involved and get recommended for competition teams
- Invest real money through the Student Investment Fund
